Jack Martin
Army Staff Sgt. Jack M. Martin III, 26, of Bethany, OK, assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group, Fort Lewis, WA, died September 29th, 2009, in Jolo Island, Philippines, from the detonation of an improvised explosive device. 

Martin is survived by his wife Ashley Martin, his parents Jack and Cheryl Martin, and siblings Abe, Mandi, Amber and Abi.

I wanted to give a shout out to those that did the Open this past weekend.  Some great efforts, and I found myself being impressed and surprised, again and again.  From people fighting through DU and not quitting.... to an athlete coming back and game planning the entire 10 minutes in order just to get a few reps more..... to some truly astounding and awesome scores.  It was inspiring.

Some absolute all out efforts and a lot of heart.  Great job team.  Happy to call yall my own.
